I have for some years now been giving this course to the students at Lund University of Technology (LTH) as an introduction to a Quality and Product Safety course over 8 weeks.

The course is intended as introduction for food safety professionals as well as for management that want to have an overview of the subject and understand how it's all connected.

The course takes about 2 hours to listen to and I will cover the following subjects:

Why - Obviously Food safety is mandatory, but also because it's very profitable, fun and rewarding

What - What is a Quality and Food Safety systems and how does it work

How - What are the tools you use: HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, Hygiene, KPI's, Analysis, Root Cause, Statistics...

You - Requirements of you as a professional.

There are four video presentations as well as handouts on most of the slides that I am showing.

Experienced Owner with a demonstrated history of working with Food Safety and skilled in Food Safety Management System, BRC, FSSC 22000, Quality Management, and HACCP Analysis.

Jan has a Master focused in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology 1975 and and has many years of experience as a Quality and environmental manager, primarily in the food industry, the packaging industry and the manufacture of machinery for the food industry. Jan has also been part of several management teams.

Jan is a qualified quality and environmental auditor and has carried out certification audits for ISO 9001 and 14 001 since 1998 and has since 2005 performed audits according to BRC Food, BRC Packaging and FSSC / ISO 22,000 for food and packaging.

In 2012-18 Jan worked as a sub-contractor to SAI Global Scandinavia for certification audits according to BRC Food, BRC Packaging and FSSC / ISO 22 000. Since 2016 Jan is Certification Officer at ControlCert Scandinavia.

Jan is also an appreciated course leader and holds courses in Food Safety and Management Systems, eg. BRC Food, BRC Packaging, BRC Storage & Distribution, HACCP, FSSC 22,000, ISO 22000, VACCP and TACCP.
